  17. Get 1/2 tablespoon Red chilli powder - to taste
  18. Prepare 1/2 tablespoon Kashmiri red chilli powder (optional)
  19. Prepare 1/2 tablespoon Turmeric powder
  20. Take 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  21. Get to taste Salt
  22. Take 1/2 tablespoon Black pepper
  23. Take 1 lime squeezed or 2 tablespoon lime juice
Instructions to make Desi Vegetarian Chili:
  1. Put oil in a Crock-Pot express pan and turn on saute mode. Add onions and saute till translucent. Then add bell peppers, cinammon stick and bay leaf and saute.
  2. Add all the canned beans and continue sauteing. Add all spices.
  3. Add tomatoes/tomato pasta sauce. Add 1 cup or half cup of water.
  4. Switch Crock-Pot express to beans/chilli mode and set for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes, quick release the steam (optional, can also let it naturally release).
  5. Take out half cup to 1 cup of chilli from Crock-Pot, blend it and then pour it back into the chilli. Put lime juice in. Taste and see if anything is missing.
  6. Garnish with cheese and spring onions. Serve with dollop of sour cream, avocado and tortilla chips.
