The ingredients needed to make Braised Pork:
  1. Get 500 g pork belly or lean pork
  2. Take 5 slice ginger
  3. Get 3 star annis
  4. Take 3 cloves

Braised pork rice is a gaifan dish found in Taiwanese cuisine. Although subject to regional variations, dishes are typically made of pork belly cooked in a process known as lu. Pat the pork dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper. Braised pork belly has a perfectly balanced sweet and savory flavor.

Steps to make Braised Pork:
  1. Cut the pork in cubes /slice
  2. Boil pork with 5 slices of ginger
  3. Remove pork from boiling water & ginger
  4. Marinate pork for 15 mins with 1tblsp of soy sauce, 1 tblsp of dark soy sauce, 1 teasp of white pepper powder & 1 teasp of 5spice powder.
  5. Marinate. 2 tblsp of soy sauce, 2 tblsp of sweet sauce, 1 teasp of white pepper powder, 1 teasp of 5spice powder, pinch of salt.
  6. Stir fry, 6 cloves of garlic, 3 star annise, 3 cloves, 1 cinnamon bark, till fragrance.
  7. Add in the marinated pork n stir fry. Add in the marinate n stir fry.
  8. Pour in abt 1L of water. Cook under mid-small fire for 1hr
  9. Add in hard boil eggs, bean curd, tau pok n cook for 30mins
  10. Serve 4
