Sometimes the milk curdles if sago is cooked in it directly. When i feel tired and not in a cooking mood. I used to boil sago with some milk, add sugar and have it warm.
Steps to make Sago beetroot kheer:
- In a thick bottomed pan, add milk.
- Also add soaked sabudana and grated beetroot.
- Boil the milk on medium flame.
- Boil for 5 minutes or till the sabunda turns translucent.
- Now add 1/4 cup sugar.
- Also add chopped dry fruits and cardamom powder.
- Mix well making sure everything is mixed well.
- Simmer for another 20 minutes stirring in between. Also the milk thickens.
- Finally, serve sago beetroot hot or chilled.
