  8. Cool for 3 minutes. Sqweeze a small amount of red gel on nail bed; press a sliced almond over gel for nail, allowing gel to ooze around nail. Remove to wire racks to cool.
  9. Yield: about 5 dozen cookies.

I used a bit less of the green food color which gave the cookies a creepy look. I used sliced almonds rather than whole. Best of all I used my mom's crooked finger as my model. Planning on making them again this year. Cream butter and sugar until smooth.
